Our figured wood is of the highest quality, milled from prime lumber harvested from our private sustainable forest of trees in northwestern Oregon. Our figured wood blocks are perfect for turning wood bowls, pens, and other objects on a lathe. Because our lumber is green (rather than kiln-dried), it is ideal for woodturning projects, and easy to work with and cut.
We also offer large burls, stumps, and slabs which are available for turning into furniture items, mantles, or other more sizable creations. The figuring you will commonly find in our selection of raw wood includes curly, fiddleback (or "tigerstripe"), and quilted maple grain, and spalted maple and white oak.
